Prague, Czech Republic, Charles University / July 1 – 3, 2021
The Prague Conference Medical Research Ethics: 21st Century Challenges has been conceived as an opportunity to bring together leading researchers from various countries to deal with issues confronting both research scientists and practitioners in meeting medical research requirements in the face of new challenges stemming from technological innovations, present and forthcoming. In the practical world, it is essential that mentors, teachers, and students be given the appropriate tools to assist in making empathetic and respectful decisions while attending to the realistic pressures from government, industry, and indeed future generations to enable ethically protected advancements both in our knowledge base and treatments in the medical world.
Our two Academies, the International Academy of Law and Mental Health (Montreal) and the International Academy of Ethics, Medicine, and Public Health (Paris, Montreal) are devoted to ongoing dialogues in a myriad of topics affecting the quality of human life while advancing scientific discovery. The Prague Conference is grateful for the hosting of this gathering by Rector Tomáš Zima of Charles University. We look forward to a vibrant set of discussions and to the ensuing book publication. We welcome the active attendance of interested colleagues in the warm and beautiful atmosphere of Prague during a perfect season.
On behalf of the Executives of both Academies,
